The Book Of Life Movie is a wonderful film enriched in the Mexican Culture. It celebrates “El Dia De Los Muertos” or the Day of The Dead where people all over Mexico celebrate the memories of the departed. Played by an awesome cast, including Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Hector Elizondo, Diego Luna, Zoë Saldana, Channing Tatum and produced by my favorited director: Guillermo Del Toro.
This movie was so good that I saw it twice. Unlike the other animated motion pictures I saw this year, this one was definitely different. Not only was it witty and funny, but the music was excellent. The Book Of Life Movie left you with many messages, to always be true to yourself, to follow you heart and that true love conquers all.
Synopsis: from producer Guillermo del Toro and director Jorge Gutierrez comes an animated comedy with a unique visual style. THE BOOK OF LIFE is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears. Rich with a fresh take on pop music favorites, THE BOOK OF LIFE encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.
If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend that you head on over to your local theaters to do so. It’s written flawlessly. I laughed through beginning to end and also cried a little bit. The Book Of Life is not only a kid movie, adults will surely enjoy it too. I was so amazed by all the characters, colors and the perfect representation of the Mexican Culture. I give The Book Of Life 10 thumbs up and definitely my favorite movie of the year. As you can’t see I can’t say enough about it.
