Ingredients

For Beef

  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 8 oz Mushrooms, chopped
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • Salt + Pepper
  • 24 oz Little Italy in the Bronx Tomato Basil Sauce

For Casserole

  • 24 oz Celentano Cavatelli, frozen
  • 2 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded

For Herb Butter Toast

  • 4 slices The Rustik Oven Sourdough Bread
  • 1/4 cup Land O Lakes Butter Spread
  • 2 teaspoons Herbs, chopped

Instructions

For Beef

  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil on medium heat.

  2. Add the onions and cook for 3-4 minutes or until softened. Add the mushrooms and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Add the beef and use a wooden spoon to break it up into pieces. Brown the beef while stirring. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Add the tomato sauce and mix well. Check for seasoning and make the necessary adjustments.

Assembly

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. In a large baking dish, empty the bag of frozen Celentano Cavatelli. Add the beef and mix well.

  3. Top with cheese and cover with foil.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for 5-10 minutes or until cheese has browned and mixture is bubbly.

  5. Remove from the oven and enjoy!

For Herb Butter Toast

  1. Place the butter spread in the microwave for 5 seconds to soften. Add the chopped herbs and mix.

  2. Toast the bread slices and spread the butter on top.
