Ingredients

  • 8 bone- skin on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Olive oil
  • Salt + Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler
  2. Place chicken thighs on a sheet pan
  3. Brush thighs with olive oil on both sides and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder
  4. In a bowl, mix the mustard, thyme and syrup - Do not add the sauce on the chicken yet
  5. Place the chicken thighs in the oven in the upper middle part (do not stick the pans too close to the broiler)
  6. Broil thighs skin side up for 6-7 minutes
  7. Remove from broiler and with tongs, flip the thighs and brush with 1/2 of the prepared sauce
  8. Broil for 2-3 minutes
  9. Flip them over again and brush with the rest of the sauce
  10. Broil for 2 more minutes
  11. Remove from oven and check if the chicken is completely cooked
  12. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Remember that broiling creates a lot of smoke in the oven. Open your windows before cooking to avoid your smoke alarm from setting on.
