Ingredients

unsalted butter (2 sticks)
2/3
cup
confectioners sugar, sifted
plus more for dusting
1 3/4
cup
flour
sifted
1
egg white
Pinch
powdered vanilla*

Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Place butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Melt butter and whirl the pan occasionally
When butter turns brown and develops a nutty aroma, remove from heat and strain into a bowl. Cool for a few minutes
Add confectioners sugar and mix using a spatula or wooden spoon
Add salt, vanilla, and egg white. Mix until combined
Finally, add the flour little by little, mixing well
Roll dough into balls and place them on a cookie sheet. Flatten the balls with your hands
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until tops are firm and the color is golden
Remove from the oven and place the cookies on a cooling rack. Dust with confectioners sugar
Enjoy!
