Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Long Grain Rice
  • 1/4 Cup Egg Noodles
  • 1/2 Cup Almonds toasted, sliced or slivered
  • 1/2 Cup Raisins
  • 1 Cup Coca-Cola
  • 1 1/4 Cups Water
  • 1 Bouillon Cube
  • 1 Teaspoon Vegetable Oil or more if needed
  • Salt + Pepper to taste
  • Green Onion sliced (to garnish)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat
  • Add the egg noodles and cook until lightly toasted, stirring often (do not burn)
  • Add the rice and stir to combine
  • Pour in the Coca Cola, water, and bouillon cube. Bring to a boil and adjust seasoning
  • Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 10–15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed
  • Remove from heat and fluff with a fork
  • Stir in raisins and almonds
  • Garnish with green onions
  • Serve and enjoy

Notes

• Use regular Coca-Cola, not diet
• Toast noodles carefully to avoid burning
• Do not overcook the rice to prevent a mushy texture
• Add raisins at the end to keep them plump
• Adjust salt since bouillon already adds seasoning
