Ingredients

  • 1 Sourdough Round or Oval Bread
  • 2 Bacon strips (I used turkey bacon)
  • 8 oz of Brie Cheese thinly sliced and rimmed
  • 3 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 2 Cloves Garlic crushed
  • Green Onions sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Place bread on a baking pan lined with parchment paper
  3. Cut slits into bread in a nice pattern. Careful not to cut all the way to the bottom
  4. In a sauté pan, cook the bacon strips until browned and crispy. Remove bacon and place on a plate lined with paper towels and let it cool
  5. Cut the bacon into small pieces
  6. Meanwhile, saute the crushed garlic on the remaining bacon fat. Add the butter until melted
  7. Spread the butter inside each crevice of the bread and bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes
  8. Remove the bread from the oven and add the bacon pieces and the cheese into the crevices making sure you fill each one
  9. Place bread back in the oven and bake until all the cheese is melted. About 6-8 minutes
  10. Remove from oven and top with green onion
  11. Enjoy!
