Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar plus more for dusting
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature, 1 stick
  • 1/8 teaspoon Vanilla Powder*

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper
  3. Place the walnuts in a food processor or blender and process until ground
  4. Pour all the ingredients together in a bowl, including the ground walnuts
  5. Use a mixer to blend everything together
  6. With your hands, shape the dough into a ball. It will be crumbly
  7. Shape the crescent cookies by taking a piece of dough, about a teaspoon size and roll into a log and shape into a "half moon"
  8. Place the cookies on the parchment paper lined sheet pan
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cookies are still pale and a little soft to the touch. DO NOT LET THEM BROWN
  10. As soon as they come out of the oven dust them with powdered sugar and let them cool completely
  11. Dough can be frozen up to 6 months
  12. Enjoy!
