Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cans black beans rinsed and drained
  • 16 oz Bottle of Salsa Verde
  • 1 can Corn
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Garnish (optional)

  • slices Lime/Lemon
  • leaves Cilantro/Parsley
  • Tomato chopped

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker place the chicken breasts on the bottom
  2. Add the corn and black beans
  3. Add the cumin, garlic, salt and pepper
  4. Pour the salsa verde on top. Mix
  5. Cook on high for 4-5 hours
  6. When ready, remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred using 2 forks
  7. Place the chicken back in the slow cooker and mix with the sauce
  8. Serve on top of rice or with tortillas
  9. Top with fresh veggies and herbs if desired
