Ingredients

For Steak

  • 2 lb Flank Steak
  • Salt + Pepper

For Mustard Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Onions sliced (about 1/4 onion)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Thyme can be dried
  • 1/2 cup Beef Stock
  • 1/4 cup White Wine
  • Salt + Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil

Instructions

  • To Cook the beef:
  • Preheat the Broiler for 5 minutes
  • Place beef in a broiler rack and add salt + pepper on both sides
  • Cook for 3 minutes on one side, then turn and cook for 3 more minutes
  • To Make the Pan Sauce
  • While the beef is cooking, heat a saute pan over medium heat and add the olive oil
  • Cook the onions with a little salt and the thyme until softened
  • Add the wine, mustard, and stock and let it reduce over medium-low heat until thickened (do not let it dry)
  • Enjoy!
