Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour or almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon oil important for texture
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into a microwave-safe mug.
  • Mix until smooth and no lumps remain.
  • Microwave for 40–50 seconds.
  • Check the center. If needed, microwave in 5–10 second increments until just set.
  • Do not overcook.

Notes

This version is slightly richer than the original recipe, which helps improve texture and consistency.
The brownie will be soft and slightly fudgy, not dense like a traditional brownie.
Microwave times vary. Start with less time and increase gradually to avoid a rubbery texture.
If overcooked, the brownie may become dry or chewy.
For extra richness, add chocolate chips or a small piece of chocolate in the center before microwaving.
