- 1 bunch asparagus trimmed
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 to 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Rinse and trim the woody ends of the asparagus.
Place the asparagus on a sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper.
Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, or until tender but still slightly crisp.
Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with lemon juice.
Finish with balsamic glaze and serve.
- Thicker asparagus works best for roasting and has a better texture
- Do not overcook the asparagus will become soft and dull
- Add lemon zest for extra brightness
- You can make your own balsamic glaze by simmering balsamic vinegar until reduced and thickened
