Nutella Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons of Nutella
  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter softened (2 sticks)
  • 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Lane a sheet pan with parchment paper
  2. Using an ice cream scoop, place 1 tablespoon mounds on the parchment paper
  3. Freeze for 2-3 hours or until completely frozen
  4. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  5. Line 2 - 3 cookie sheets with parchment paper
  6. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt
  7. In a mixer bowl, add the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix on medium-high speed until completely creamy. About 3-4 minutes
  8. Lower the mixer speed and add the eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla
  9. Slowly add the flour to the mixer a little bit a time. Do not overmix
  10. Finally add the chips and combine
  11. Remove Nutella mounds from the freezer
  12. Measure 2 ice cream scoops of cookie dough in your hand, flatten it inside the palm of your hand and add a mound of Nutella in the middle of the dough. Carefully wrap the cookie dough around the Nutella completely encasing it and place it on the prepared cookie sheet
  13. Repeat this step with the rest of the cookies
  14. Cookies will spread so leave enough space in between them
  15. Bake for 12-18 minutes or until browned on top and soft in the middle
  16. Remove from oven and let the cool. Cookies will appear a bit raw when you remove from the oven but they will finish cooking as the cool
