Truffle Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy bakery-style chocolate chip cookies stuffed with a melted chocolate truffle center. Rich, gooey, and perfect for holidays or chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 24 chocolate truffles unwrapped

Instructions

Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Unwrap chocolate truffles and set aside.

Make Dough

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a mixer bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy, about 3 minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
  • Slowly add dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.

Stuff Cookies

  • Scoop about 2 tablespoons dough and flatten in your hand.
  • Place one truffle in center.
  • Wrap dough completely around truffle and roll into a ball.
  • Place on prepared baking sheet spaced apart.

Bake

  • Bake 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are golden and centers still soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to rack.

Notes

  • Seal the dough completely around truffle to prevent leaks.
  • Do not overbake for gooey centers.
  • Chill dough 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Store airtight 4 days.
  • Freeze dough balls up to 2 months. Bake from frozen adding 2 minutes.
  • Use milk, dark, hazelnut, or caramel truffles.
