A few days ago I was very fortunate to be invited on an amazing day aboard the Carnival Breeze Cruise Ship and meet the wonderful Colleen Kelly.
Colleen Kelly is the new host of the PBS TV Show called “Family Travel” which features family friendly locations, attractions and activities around the US and the world. Colleen was super nice and friendly and I also got the opportunity to meet her beautiful young daughters. Family Travel airs every weekend on PBS.
For those of you that have kids, traveling with them can be a hassle… So if you’ve been thinking on where to go, I highly recommend getting on a cruise!. For the past couple of years my family and I have been cruising and let me tell you… I LOVE IT! My kids are happy, my parents are happy and I am ecstatic!. Every member of the family is together and at the same time busy with their own activity.
For this event I brought a little date who enjoyed her day aboard the Carnival Breeze!
My little one had a blast!! Here’s what we did inside:
When we first boarded the ship we learned all about the Youth programs aimed towards kids from 2 to 17 years old.
Here’s the Breakdown of the kids activities and ages:
Camp Carnival: 2-11
Camp Carnival is broken down into groups based on age. Each group has their own activities that range from Hasbro games, face painting and science projects
Circle C 12-14
Is located in a space that resembles a nightclub and makes kids feel like adults. Activities include scavenger hunts, pizza parties, dances and more
Club O2 15-17
Has their own “nightclub” as well. But older kids get to enjoy activities like sports, hasbro games, movie nights, parties, xbox and Wii game consoles.
I got to meet some of the youth staff and was pleased to know that all of them have formal childcare training so you can rest assured that your child is well taken care off and that they form a strong bond with them throughout the vacation week. Plus Carnival is the ONLY Cruise line that accepts kids in diapers without the extra charge.
After we learned about the Kids program we went to the “Thrill Theater” and had the time of our lives!! It was inside a 4-D movie theater!! If you’re not familiar with 4-D it is like a 3-D movie but the seat also moves, squirts water, wind and it even pokes your back!… An experience like any other. My 3 year was so thrilled to see and feel the characters from “Little Feet” and more.
Finally we headed to the Saphire Restaurant and had a gourmet lunch! Everything they served was absolutely outstanding!… My little one and I really hoped they forgot about us and remained on the ship as stowaways!
All in all it was an incredible experience being aboard this Majestic Ship. I reiterate, cruising is a great way to spend time with your family! Kids and adults have a blast! So set sail aboard the Carnival Breeze!!
