Banana Oatmeal Cookies Recipe With Natural Sweetener 

I am starting 2015 with a few extra pounds. I am not sorry for this extra weight since I enjoyed all those breads, desserts, and meals I had during the Holidays.

But now that I am back home, I need to fit into my jeans. So it’s time to make smarter choices when it comes to nutrition. That’s why every January I turn to this delicious Banana Oatmeal Cookies Recipe With Natural Sweetener.

Instead of starving myself with water and tuna fish I just make smarter choices. Instead of 2 cups of coffee a day, I swap my afternoon cup with Chamomile Tea. It warms me up from inside and it has the same soothing effect. I replace my orange juice with water and lastly, regular sugar is swapped with Truvia for both sweetening my tea and my cooking items.

Making small but little changes can make a whole lot of difference in our daily lives. This Banana Oatmeal cookie recipe will curb those sweet cravings without the guilt as they are made with wholesome ingredients. Personally, 5 PM is when my hunger monster starts to creep in a take over.

A cup of warming chamomile tea and some delicious cookies will do the trick. Since these cookies are a bit drier, they are perfect to dunk on the tea and give it additional sweetness. It’s a great experience.

Truvia can be used in baking and cooking. I usually add them to sweeten my vinaigrettes, tea, coffee, and freshly baked items. One packet of Truvia equals 2 Teaspoons of regular sugar.

Making them is easy since it requires only 4 ingredients: ripe bananas, quick-cooking oats, raisins, and Truvia®. It’s a kid-friendly recipe so better make an extra batch as these tend to disappear quickly.

You can add more ingredients to suit your liking such as shredded unsweetened coconut, walnuts, or even chocolate chips. I love how sweet and chewy these are. The oats add a very nice texture to the cookie and the banana adds tons of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 Bananas ripe
  • 1-2 packets Truvia
  • 1 Cup Quick Cooking Oats
  • 1/4 Cup Raisins
US Customary - Metric

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • In a bowl, mash bananas using a fork or potato masher
  • Mix in the quick cooking oats, Truvia and raisins
  • Form small cookies and place on a jelly roll lined with parchment paper
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until browned
