Remember a few weeks ago I told you that SeaWorld was opening a new attraction called Antarctica and that it would feature real live penguins?. Well it is now open and I couldn’t wait to drive up there and share this wonderful experience with my family.
First of all being in SeaWorld is amazing… very different from other theme parks. Just being there, the atmosphere, their shows… it’s out of this place. The fact that they rescue animals and a lot of times release them again into the wild is admirable.
About the new Antarctica Ride:
Empire of The Penguins take you on a wild and magical journey featuring “Puck” a new baby Penguin that just hatched, and faces the triumphs and defeats of his new world. When you enter the ride you will see the beautiful lights of the Arctic and feel how a penguin slides through the snow!. On the other side, you will also see the dangers that are lurking around, like predators and inclement weather.
It’s really unbelievable that just 3 hours from my house I was able to feel so far away.. SeaWorld made it so realistic!. The whole Arctic exhibit had icebergs and glaciers!… And the best part of the ride: the 250 live penguins!.Just a word of advice: take a sweater for this ride because temps were under 32 degrees!!
They were so beautiful and majestic! The faces of my daughters were priceless… Penguins were waddling and swimming just like they do in their natural habitat. I am still amazed! This ride makes is the coldest theme park attraction in Orlando!
I would also like to point out that you don’t need a high requirement to enter. So you can take your little kids in with you! Just choose from “Wild Ride” or “Mild Ride”. My husband went in with my 5 year old to the Wild one and I stayed with my little one for the Mild Ride.
So next time you are in the Orlando area do not miss SeaWorld’s new attraction! It’s an unforgettable experience that I promise you that you and your family will enjoy. If you ask my 5 year what her favorite thing about SeaWorld was, she will point blank tell you: “the penguins”.
