Caramel Banana Ice Cream (Just 2 Ingredients!)
Yup, you read that correctly – Only 2 ingredients are all it takes to make this creamy and dreamy Caramel Banana Ice Cream. You don’t need an ice cream maker or hours of freezing. All you need is:
Frozen bananas and dulce de leche (or caramel sauce) – That’s it! Blend it in your favorite high-speed blender or a food processor and in seconds you’ll have soft-serve ice cream.
Want it firmer? toss it in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. Luckily I always have frozen bananas on hand since my husband uses them in his smoothies.
Are you doing the Paleo diet? Remove the dulce de leche from the equation and eat a creamy banana ice cream. It’s delicious too!
Who would’ve known that blended frozen Bananas can create ice cream? Now as you can imagine, you can create tons of many variations using this method: replace Caramel with Nutella, Biscoff, frozen strawberries, Jam, chocolate chips, peanut butter, etc
Sometimes at night, while I am watching TV I crave something sweet and this Caramel Banana Ice Cream hits the spot. Make a few batches and freeze them in little containers so you can have single servings right on hand.
As for toppings, you can use caramel sauce, nuts, fudge, or simply by itself. When the banana is ripe, it holds so much flavor that is doesn’t need much else.
I remember a few years ago, when I was a teenager I loved making my ice cream. I bought a machine that had a special bowl that needed to be frozen all the time.
The ice cream base was made with cream, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients. To be honest, that ice cream machine gave me a headache! Sometimes the bowl wasn’t frozen enough and the ice cream wouldn’t set.
Sometimes it would take half an hour or 45 minutes to churn. It was more of a hassle than an experience. After using it for a few months I abandoned my hobby.
Now I am back on the horse and testing out new techniques and recipes to avoid using a machine. I’ll let you know my results soon đŸ™‚

What Great timing! I had some Dulce De Leche left from a can I cooked in my Instant Pot so made your recipe. Nice easy recipe it is and liked the idea of putting it in individual serves in the freezer. Pinning it for next time.
