Update: Dish has a added a new App on their Hopper program. It will enable you to see Netflix without changing inputs! You can now enjoy Netflix without any other program!
You all know how much I LOVE my Dish Hopper. There’s too many user oriented features that enhances my TV experience. You can see my reviews here, here, and here.
Basically Dish’s Hopper not only records your favorite TV shows, has tons of on-demand HOT movies like Frozen and Wreck it Ralph, but is also records ALL the primetime shows so you can watch them at anytime. Best of all, the Hopper “skips” through commercials automatically so there’s no need to be fast forwarding. Now that Christmas is here, my Kangaroo is recording all primetime Christmas movies and shows. Perfect to watch before bedtime.
Right now, Dish Network has announced 3 new features to further enhance your TV experience:
– Watch from the beginning: have it every happened to you that you see your favorite movie on and when you turn it on you missed the first 30 minutes? Now with the Hopper will ask you to start from the beginning and you’re able to see the entire movie. I love this feature because my daughters complain when I record their shows halfway done.
– Bing Watching Function: right now when you finish a recorded show on TV, the Hopper will show you more episodes available in your DVR or Video on Demand so you can watch right then and there. Planning a Homeland all nighter? Count me in!
-Easy Closed Captioning Capabilities: instead of going to setting and enabling/disabling the closed captioning, you can now press the green button to turn it on. I love this feature because I can use it on movies and then turn it off when my girls watch tv.
As you can see, the Hopper makes watching TV so easy and user friendly. Even my kids use the remote control. I honestly cannot be happier with this service and personally recommended to anybody who is thinking about switching providers. That’s why I feature Dish Network for my Holiday Gift Guide 2014
