Tuna Burgers With Roasted Pepper Tartar Sauce
If you’ve never had a tuna burger before, you’re going to flip over this one. The patties are delicious, the sauce is amazing and each bite tastes better than the other. I tell you, I didn’t know how this combination was going to turn out until I took a bite. I was like

My husband came home for lunch and I quickly started to make the other 3 patties. He inhaled them of course. The magic is the combination of flavors and textures.
If I bottle this Roasted Pepper Tartar sauce, what should I name it? The description seems rather long. Maybe secret Tartar sauce?
Since this one is not as tangy as the regular one, my kids loved it. And they ate the tuna burgers without even knowing they were eating tuna. So this dish is a win and will become a weekly staple in my home.
If you’re watching your carbs, just opt for a lettuce bun or a thinner whole-wheat pita. My kids wouldn’t go for that so I went with the sesame top. For these Tuna Burgers, I used Bumble Bee

Tuna Burgers With Roasted Pepper Tartar Sauce
Ingredients
For Tuna Burgers
- 2 cans tuna in water drained
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons parsley freshly minced
- juice of 1 Lime
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 Teaspoon onion powder
- 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large egg whisked
- 1-2 Tablespoons olive oil for cooking
For Roasted Pepper Tartar sauce
- 1 Roasted Pepper from the jar
- 2 tablespoons Light Mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 2/3 cup Low-Fat Sour Cream or fat free
- 1/4 cup Relish or Minced Pickles
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Lime Juice
Assembly
- Hamburger buns optional
- Tomatoes
- Lettuce
- Onions
Instructions
- For Tuna Burger
- Place tuna in a bowl and fluff it with 2 forks
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix
- Heat a skillet on medium and add 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
- Shape tuna into patties and place on the skillet
- Cook on both sides for 3-4 minutes or until brown and toasted
- Carefully remove from heat and place them on toasted hamburger buns
- For Roasted Pepper Tartar sauce
- Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend on high speed
- Taste for seasoning and add more if needed
- If mixture is too liquid add some more yogurt or sour cream
- If it's too thick add some lemon juice
- Pour on top of the tuna burgers
