Caramel Coffee Mix In a Jar
With the Holidays upon us, my list of people to give gifts to keeps growing every day. My daughter’s school teachers, their assistants, and the school secretary. My mail lady, lawn maintenance employees, neighbors, blogging buddies, etc.
I can’t afford to buy gifts for everybody on my list, but I do want to show my appreciation for all they do. This delicious Caramel Coffee Mix In a Jar is the perfect DIY gift that is both delicious and affordable. With only 4 ingredients, you’ll need a few wooden spoons and sealable glass jars.

The idea is that people use the spoon to add the amount they desire into their mug. If they prefer strong coffee, more sugar, or less milk, they can add their desired quantities. Just add some hot water and strain. I garnished it with yummy caramel bits that melted away in the heat. You can also get some instant coffee, and there will be no need for straining.

I love fishing out my caramel bits It’s way yummier than marshmallows. With each jar, you can get about 3-4 cups of coffee. Perfect for a cold winter’s day.
You can layer the ingredients one on top of another or mix them up. I prefer to layer them so people can choose their desired quantity of each.

If I’m using instant coffee instead of the granules, will there be any change to the quantity? Or will it still be 1/2 cup? Also, will instant espresso be better for this recipe?
Hi Pearl, You can leave the same quantity. As per espresso or coffee, it depends on your personal taste. Hope that helps.
I’m making this for a gift. What are the directions for actually preparing a cup of coffee from the mix?
Just place 2 tablespoons of coffee mix and 1 tablespoon of powdered milk and add 1 cup of boiling water
