Ingredients

  • 2 lbs salmon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Juice of 2 oranges
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together ginger, garlic, sesame oil, honey, orange juice, soy sauce, and green onions.
  • Place salmon in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Transfer salmon to a baking dish and pour marinade on top.
  • Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is still moist in the center.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the salmon, or it will become dry.
  • For a caramelized finish, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
  • Fresh orange juice gives the best flavor, but bottled can work in a pinch.
  • This marinade also works well with shrimp or chicken.
