Easy Baked Soy Chicken Recipe

Like many of my recipes, I learned this Easy Baked Soy Chicken from my grandma.

Of course, I added 1/4  of the amount of butter she uses (no kidding).

If you ask her, this is the perfect recipe for a newlywed since it’s so easy to make. Simply place the chicken in a baking pan, mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl, pour it all over the chicken and bake.

Inviting your in-laws for the first time?

Make this chicken! I promise it’s a slam-dunk. Or as we say in Spanish, un tiro al piso (a shot to the floor).

I remember when I lived alone, I used to make this dish all the time and shred the leftovers for other different recipes: tacos, fried rice, etc.

Since this Easy Baked Soy Chicken Recipe has so much flavor, it is best to serve it with white rice, quinoa or couscous. That way, they can absorb all those juices from the sauce.

Want to speed up prep?

Make the sauce and pour it all over the chicken, cover and refrigerate.

When you come home from work, simply bake while you take a shower, help the kids with the homework, or catch up with the latest episode of your favorite Netflix show. No tossing, turning or babysitting.

Also, you can make many variations off of this recipe. I sometimes add some honey to replace the butter, substitute the soy for Worcestershire, add some potato cubes, etc

Confession:

I published this recipe back in 2013 but the pictures were so embarrassing that I took the post down. Now I am republishing it with beautiful and updated photographs. 🙂

So please, enjoy!

I hope you can try this delicious Easy Baked Soy Chicken Recipe at home. If you do, please upload a pic on Instagram and tag me @Livingsweetmoments or use the hashtag #LivingSweet.
