Fudgy Cranberry Orange Brownies
These are not your regular brownies… Don’t be fooled by the name.
Just imagine tiny morsels of chocolate and fudge, candied orange peel, walnuts, and cranberries, then topped with decadent chocolate icing.
Doesn’t that sound amazing?
Making it is easy and is a crowd-pleaser since these brownies are not ultra sweet and each bite is way different than the other.
The texture is ooey gooey, with some chewiness from the orange and cranberries, and crunchy from the walnuts.
If you’re thinking of baking for the Holidays, I recommend adding these cranberry-orange brownies to your to-do list.
Honestly, I had a hard time naming them because they are a hybrid between a baked fudge and a brownie. Frownie and Brudgy came to mind but they sounded really ugly 🙂
Let me show you how this recipe is made:
I first mix all my brownie batter ingredients and place them on a greased rectangular pan.
When my fudge is all mixed up. I pour it over the brownie batter.
Little swirls with the knife will guarantee that the 2 mixes come together
Finally, I bake, cool, and frost.
It doesn’t get any easier than that.
All the ingredients for this recipe were purchased at Publix, now that the Holiday season is here you can even find the candied orange peel pieces in the baking section.
For me, is so versatile since I can use it for fudge, brigadeiros, flan, and even chocolate birthday icing. If you’re serving donuts and fruits, get the LA LECHERA condensed milk in a squeeze bottle for ease of use.
