Turkey Meatballs With Tomato Sauce
Need a healthy, delicious, and filling dinner in a hurry? Look no further! These 30-minute Turkey Meatballs With Tomato Sauce will do the trick. They are moist, tender, and full of flavor. My husband never found out they were made with turkey. He thought they were made with beef.
Before the holidays start, I am trying to lose a few pounds before the pies, fudges, and cakes come into my house. As you can imagine, dieting is not easy and sometimes can be boring. My trick is to make the same meals I usually cook in a healthier way.
Substituting ground turkey breast with beef makes a whole lot of difference without skimping on the flavor. Next, I bake them and they still turn out golden and delicious without the need to fry them.
Plus, it makes for an easier cleanup. And finally, using a light tomato sauce instead of a creamy one will save you a few calories.
If you want, you can double these Turkey Meatballs With Tomato Sauce batch and freeze them or just leave them in the fridge and heat them when needed. They will make the best leftovers.
Usually, I serve these meatballs over brown rice or quinoa. They are great with spaghetti as well. I just eat mine with steamed veggies.
