Easy Skillet Peach Cobbler
My 5 year is currently addicted to Peaches and since we’re in season, I buy them by the boatload. This Skillet Peach Cobbler was an improvisation that turned out into a success. You see, my little girl wanted peaches on her lunchbox everyday, on Thursday she got the flu and stayed at home the rest of the week. Yesterday I looked at the peaches and knew that if I didn’t use them that day they were going to go bad. And this is how this recipe was created.
What I love about this Skillet Peach Cobbler is that you start out cooking the peaches on the stove and then move the skillet into the oven so the topping can cook and get crisp and delicious. Just top with some vanilla ice cream and get ready to taste heaven. The secret is to eat them right out of the oven. The inside is creamy, sweet and super soft while the topping is crispy, buttery and very flavorful.
Instead of using sugar to create the crisp topping, I used pure maple syrup to give out sweetness and so much deep flavor. Perfect for peaches or other fruit you may have lying around in the kitchen. It really does make a difference, plus it also helps color and caramelize the topping.
You can make this Skillet Peach Cobbler in a large skillet or 2-3 little ones for a different presentation. I used 2 little ones since

- For Peaches
- 5 Peaches sliced and pitted
- 3 Tablespoons of Butter
- 3 Teaspoons of Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon more if you'd like
- For Cobbler
- 1/2 Cup of Old Fashioned Oats
- 1/2 Cup of All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 Cup of Pure Maple Syrup
- 5 Tablespoons of Butter at room temperature
Preheat oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit
In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, melt the butter
Add the peaches, sugar and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until softened
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
Place spoonfuls of cobbler on top of the peaches
Bake for 30 minutes or until the crust has browned
