Slow-Cooker Cheesy Bacon Strata

Oh my goodness! Get ready to love breakfast for dinner with this easy-to-make recipe. A Strata is basically a savory egg-soaked bread baked to perfection. This time, I made it inside the slow cooker to save time in prep without the need for babysitting.

With every bite you take, you will feel the creamy and fluffy egg with tons of bacon and cheesy flavor. I definitely, can’t get enough of this Slow-Cooker Cheesy Bacon Strata.

Can you imagine a better breakfast idea? Just toss everything in the slow cooker and go about your day. It’s perfect for brunch! Maybe go to church or shopping while the strata is cooking. Toss some yummy cheese on top and you’re set!

Even though the Holidays are over, my family is still here from Venezuela. Since they’re on vacation mode, they’re still tons of parties and get-togethers throughout the weekend.

My Slow-Cooker Cheesy Bacon Strata is it’s delicious, easy, sophisticated, and definitely feeds a crowd. Serve with some berries or fruit on the side to make a play on sweet and savory.

You can also add some more veggies and make this recipe your own. I love the combination of green onions with the eggs, cheese, and bacon. The perfect contrast of creamy, tangy, and salty.

This Slow-Cooker Cheesy Bacon Strata is also a great way to get rid of old bread you have leftover from the Holidays. The dry bread really soaks in the egg mixture and becomes soft again.

Here are a few photos of the process. As you can see, much of the prep can be done the day before and just tossed in before everybody wakes up. The smell coming from your kitchen will give your family sweet dreams.

The question I have about slow cooker breakfast recipes – how does this work? Don’t you have to wake up at 3-4 am to have it ready on time?

Hi Suzanne! That’s actually a great question!
You can do a couple of things:
      – Set it the night before on low for 8 hours and when you wake up breakfast is ready
      – Set in on high in the morning and have it for brunch
