This delicious quick Crispy Orange Chicken recipe uses Chicken Nuggets and is ready on your table in 15 minutes or less. For an easy weeknight dinner idea
Easy Crispy Orange Chicken
I still can’t believe that my kids go back to school in a couple of weeks. Our summer was filled with fun and happy moments, too bad that is has to end soon.
Now that my regular super busy routine is coming starting soon, I am planning out easy weeknight dinner recipes that are not only kid-friendly but fun and exciting as well.
Part of my mission is to think outside the box and develop original ideas that my picky girls will request again and again.
This year, they are enrolled in dance, piano, soccer and swimming classes after school. That means that when we get home I have to get dinner ready while they’re showering and/or doing their homework.
As you can imagine, they will be hungry, tired and cranky. I’m sure this quick and delicious Crispy Orange Chicken will definitely put them in a better mood.
The chicken is served with a sweet and tangy homemade orange sauce over a bed of white rice and yummy steamed edamame on the side.
Want to know how this whole dinner is ready in 15 minutes? I used a particular ingredient that’s already in your freezer: chicken nuggets! More specifically Tyson Chicken Nuggets.
Just pop them in your oven for 12 to 13 minutes and while they’re baking make the orange sauce. As soon as they’re all ready and crispy simply coat them with the sauce and serve.
I chose Tyson Chicken Nuggets because they’re moving to No Antibiotics Ever in the upcoming months. Head on to your local Target and look for the new label.
They also contain 0 trans fat per serving and they’re free of preservatives. That makes kids and moms very happy.
I hope you can try this delicious Crispy Orange Chicken at home. If you do, please upload a pic on Instagram and tag me @Livingsweetmoments or use the hashtag #LivingSweet. I promise to repost it.
