Healthy Mango Fruit Roll Ups (2026 Update)
This recipe has always been a favorite, but I wanted to give it a 2026 refresh with better tips and a more consistent texture. The idea is still beautifully simple: blend mango, dry it, and turn it into naturally sweet homemade fruit leather.
No added sugar, no preservatives, no weird ingredients. Just fruit doing its thing.
If you are looking for a healthy snack that feels like a treat, these mango fruit roll-ups are chewy, bright, and honestly a little addictive.

What Are Mango Fruit Roll-Ups?
Mango fruit roll-ups are homemade fruit leather made by pureeing mango and slowly drying it until it becomes flexible and chewy. They are naturally sweet and have that fun roll and peel texture kids love.
This version uses only mango, which gives them a beautiful golden color and intense natural sweetness.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Only 1 ingredient
- No added sugar
- Kid-friendly snack
- Vegan and gluten-free
- Perfect for lunchboxes or on the go
Can You Use Frozen Mango?
Yes. Frozen mango works perfectly. Just thaw it first and blend until completely smooth. This is a great option when mango is not in season.

How to Get the Perfect Texture
The secret is spreading the puree evenly. If some areas are thicker, they will stay sticky, while thinner parts dry out too much.
You want a smooth, even layer and a low oven temperature so the fruit dries slowly instead of baking.
Why Did My Fruit Roll-Ups Turn Dark?
This usually means they were in the oven too long or the temperature was too high. Every oven is different, so start checking earlier than you think.

How Long Do They Last?
Once fully dried, store them in an airtight container or zip bag at room temperature for a few days. Make sure they are completely dry before storing, so they do not stick.
Can You Make Them With Other Fruits?
Absolutely. Try peaches, strawberries, nectarines, or papaya. Just keep in mind that more watery fruits may take longer to dry.

Tips for Success
- Use ripe, sweet mangoes
- Blend until completely smooth
- Spread evenly on parchment
- Dry at low temperature
- Let cool before rolling
I love that these feel like candy but are actually just fruit. The first time my kids tried them, they thought I had bought them at the store. I did not correct them immediately.

Hello ! Recipe sounds great, can’t wait to try it ! Quick questions- have you ever tried making these (or any other fruit roll up ) using reconstituted dried fruit ? Does it work ? I appreciate you time. Thanks !
Hi Annet! That’s a very good question. I honestly have never tried it and don’t know if it will work since the fruit has already been dried out and the sugars concentrated.
If you do try it, let me know how it comes out
I have tried this a couple of times. We have beautiful mangoes in South Africa But even though the colour starts out vibrant yellow. When it dries it darkens and has dark spots. WHat am I doing wrong
You’re overbaking it. Maybe your oven has trouble calibrating the temp. Simply lower the temperature by 25 degrees and watch it
Sounds so yummy! Can you tell me how long would a sheet of roll ups last?
About 5 days Jessica
I made the mango roll ups today but they took a lot longer than planned! I had my oven on the lowest setting (75 degrees) and it took about 5 1/2 hours. Maybe my oven isn’t very good as I upped the temperature a bit as it just wasn’t solidifying… However, I now have 8 rollups sitting in my kitchen ready to munch! Will definitely try again.
I am so sorry it took that long! Yes, ovens may vary. Glad you liked them!
