Superbowl M&M Football Cookies

Are you ready for the big game?

Me neither

Unless you count these cute M&M Football Cookies.

They are delicious, easy to make, and best of all, fun to eat during and after the game.

These fun M&M Football Cookies is the perfect cookie recipe using M&m's

Come on, who can refuse a bite or two?

So, my idea is the following:

Make football shaped sugar cookies, thick cookie icing, and serve the M&M’s (or Skittles) in a bowl. That way, everybody can decorate them using their team’s color, or in any pattern they’d like.

Around here my husband is a huge football fan and loves inviting friends over and talk about play and statistics. I on the other hand, am focused more on the food, and concocting recipes for the occasion.

I cook, they eat. It works 🙂

I got all the game day essentials at great prices at Sam’s Club.

These fun M&M Football Cookies are great to serve during Superbowl parties and football events

I recommend enrolling right now since they are offering a great deal: Get a $20 gift card with $45 membership purchase.

Isn’t that amazing? – Basically a membership for only $25. Half of what other places charge.

Look for those Valpak envelopes in the mail for additional information and savings.

Now check out this spread:

  • Tyson Wings
  • Skittles & M&Ms
  • 5 Hour Energy

Those M&M’s prices can’t be beat! So buy a few bags to make these M&M Football Cookies. If you’re not a fan of M&M use Skittles. They will both be delicious.

Choose to make the cookies and icing from scratch or simply use store-bought dough and bagged icing. Both versions will turn out great and of course, cute. 🙂

I hope you can try this delicious M&M Football Cookies at home. If you do, please upload a pic on Instagram and tag me @Livingsweetmoments or use the hashtag #LivingSweet. I promise to repost it.

Ingredients
For Sugar Cookies
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sour Cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
For Cookie Frosting
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Butter room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-2 teaspoons Milk
Topping
  • 2 cups M&M's approximately
Instructions
For Cookies
  1. Mix all the cookie ingredients together until a ball forms. Shape into a disc, wrap with plastic paper and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes

  2. Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F

  3. In a floured surface, place the dough and roll until you get it thin ( about a 1/4 inch). Use a football cookie cutter to cut out the shape

  4. Place football cookies on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet

  5. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until slightly browned on top

  6. Cool in pan for 1 minute and then place in a cooling rack until completely cooled

  2. Place frosting in a piping bag filled with a small round tip

Assembly
  1. Pipe 2 curves on each side of the cookie, then pipe a rectangular in the middle

  2. Place M&M's on top of the frosting

  3. Enjoy!
