Caramel Glazed Baked Turtle Donuts

I know it looks decadent.. consider it part of your “cheat meal” – Trust me, it’s worth it.

These guys are not only delicious, but they’re also fun to make.

My girls love to help me out in the kitchen.

If you participate in bake sales, then get ready, these will sell out fast.

Just look at them! They’re so attractive and inviting.

If you love the Turtles Candy Bar, then I guarantee you will love these. Call it the better version.

Baked delicious donuts with a chocolate glaze, drizzled with caramel sauce and finished with chopped toasted pecans.

My kids are home with me this week and instead of playing with their Legos or going outside, they decided that they want to bake – every day.

The first day we made mini eclairs. We made the pate a choux, the pastry cream, and the glaze on top.

Then yesterday they wanted to make donuts.

We were going back and forth on which ones to make.

Their ideas were a little over the top. With some rather disgusting combinations starting with bubble gum flavor icing and cotton candy-flavored donuts.

I wanted to please them by making something decadent but my idea was to use cohesive ingredients that would work well and not be a sloppy mess.

And that’s how these puppies were born. The girls loved them!

I hope you can try these delicious caramel-glazed baked Turtle Donuts at home. If you do, please upload a pic on Instagram and tag me @Livingsweetmoments or use the hashtag #LivingSweet.
