Ingredients

  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuits 8 ct.
  • 1 Cup Jelly any flavor
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan on medium heat
  • Cut the biscuits into 4 pieces
  • Roll the pieces with your hands in the shape of a ball
  • Fry the donuts in batches until browned on both sides, about 1-2 minutes per side
  • Drain the excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels
  • Fill the injector with jelly. Use a spoon if no injector is available
  • Using the tip of a knife, make a small hole on the donut. Insert the jelly filled injector or a spoon and fill them up
  • Dust with powdered sugar (optional)
  • Enjoy

    I made these today. What a great idea to use biscuit dough. I even purchased a flavour injector and used it without the tip like you did to get the jelly in. Made 40 as there were ten biscuits in carton. They are shook delicious. Thank you for this time saving recipe.

    Hi,
    What do you think about baking these? I know oil is central to Hanukkah, but I work in a special education class and hot oil really poses a hazard. However, would love to make the with our students.
