Dulce de Leche Brownies
First of all, I cannot begin to tell you how amazing these brownies are. Instead of nuts, I used bittersweet chocolate chunks that create pockets of delicious chocolaty flavor in every square.
They were engineered for perfection. People will take a bite and say, “MMM What’s in this?” Naturally, dulce de leche. Not only does it moisten the whole dessert, it has a sweet creamy flavor that penetrates the chocolate batter.
If you’re hosting a party, birthday or potluck dinner, take these Dulce de Leche Brownies with you.
I promise they will be a hit with kids and adults alike. Making them is very easy and does not require a special process. If you’d made brownies before, you’ll surely have success with these.
I love brownies, that’s why I like to reinvent them and create delicious variations with them. These Dulce de Leche Brownies turned out much better than expected.
Not too sweet, not too cakey, not too wet, simply perfect. The chocolate chunks add the perfect touch to counterbalance the sweetness. Use good-quality chocolate chunks instead of chocolate chips. It makes a big difference in the final product.
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I am kind of obsessed with Dulce De Leche. And yes, I try to incorporate it into everything.
It’s an ingredient I grew up with and part of Latin roots.
Brownies were eventually next in line to be Latinized. Who would’ve thought it was going to be a match made in heaven?
Finally, I hope you can try these delicious Dulce de Leche Brownies at home. If you do, please upload a pic on Instagram and tag me @Livingsweetmoments or use the hashtag #LivingSweet. I promise to repost it.

Hi, I just wanted to ask why your pictures show the brownies a golden color? Using chocolate makes them dark like a traditional brownie. I followed everything in your recipe and re checked it multiple times and mine look completely different. Also taken around 30mins longer to bake. Hope you can advise. Thanks.

Hi Victoria! the Dulce de Leche gives them that beautiful color.
Also, it shouldn’t take 30 min longer to bake, remember that that you have dulce de leche in the middle so the brownies will be fudgy, not cakey. That’s why I refrigerate for at least an hour before attempting to cut.
