Slow Cooker Chili Recipe

Winter’s the time to break out of the old crock pot. Since lately I’ve been busy with friends and family visiting from abroad, I’ve been trying to cook meals that require zero or little babysitting.

This Slow Cooker Chili Recipe is super easy to make and delicious. Make some extra to enjoy the leftovers and serve with different toppings so your family can mix and match their favorite ones.

I am a sucker for sour cream and green onions, my daughters prefer cheese and my hubby is a sour cream fan. Tortilla chips and chopped tomato are also a great topping idea.

This Slow Cooker Chili Recipe is so saucy that you’ll need some French bread to soak up all that goodness. I made mine with ground beef, but you can certainly substitute for ground turkey or chicken.

I discovered chili just a few years ago and instantly fell in love with the flavor, texture, and heartiness. To me, it’s the ultimate comfort food that just feels like a hug from the inside. The spices add so much taste with a deep smoky flavor. Delicious!

The best part? This Slow Cooker Chili Recipe is perfect for freezing. Just make a double batch, let it cool and just place it in a plastic container and freeze. It’s good for 4 to 6 months. So you can get tons of meals out of one recipe.

I don’t know about you but the Holidays are keeping me busy. Too many parties and events. Today, I took the afternoon off and just ignored my cell phone. Sometimes you just need to unwind and do NOTHING.
