Delicious Burrata Pizza Recipe
Making homemade pizza is not only super easy, but it is also fun. My kids love shaping it and personalizing it by choosing their own toppings.
This Delicious Burrata Pizza takes the flavors of a classic Caprese but is creamier and stringier with the addition of burrata cheese.
If you’ve never tried burrata before, you’re going to love it!! It is basically a mozzarella cheese with added cream. When you open it, the cheesy inside oozes out. It’s like having a melted cheese without melting it.
The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. So imagine that deliciousness added to a pizza. Genius right? I also used Burrata in these Roasted Red Pepper crostini.
For the toppings, I added delicious fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, and oregano. The edges of the crust are drizzled with olive oil and salt pepper. The dough is soft and chewy with a creamy top.
If you have a pizza stone at home, preheat it for one hour before adding the raw Burrata Pizza. I don’t have one but since I love making pizza at home, maybe I’ll make the investment.
You can use this pizza dough recipe to top it with any other ingredients you may like, but I highly recommend you try this yummy burrata cheese. It takes the flavor and texture to the next level. See how stringy and creamy it is?
For the tomatoes, use your favorite kind. If you want them softer, simply halve them before adding them to the pizza or quarter them for bigger tomatoes.
